Challenge data transfer via the Internet: three solutions for quick and simple transmission

Millions of files are exchanged on the internet every day. Share the photos of the last party with friends, send the parents a video from the last holiday, romable to an e-mail and go. What if the size of the file overwhelm the mail server or the ability of the mailbox explore? Here are three solutions that allow quick and safe data transfer via the Internet.

In addition to Dropbox and other cloud storage services, there are numerous other ways to share your files with friends and acquaintances. The possibility that in the end you choose should not depend on how technically the recipient is technically experienced. The question if the files are stored temporarily or permanently should also play a central role in the decision.

With a click for data transfer

If the recipient of the files cannot do much with the computer and technology, you should make it as simple as possible. Ideally, a transmission path should be chosen, which allows the download of a video with only one click, for example. If you do not want to install any software for the exchange of data on your computer, you need to use web storage services. The so -called Save Hoster Save Save Save Content loaded 5 GB on the server without having to create an account.

The recipient reaches the destination files via a link and can download them quickly and easily. With this path of transmission, however, the content is temporarily saved and automatically eliminated after a while. For those who occasionally share files, this is still a good solution. For particularly reserved content, however, it should rather fall on other alternatives.

Promising newcomer: Transferxl

The free Transferxl service promises a quick and simple data transfer, in which the size of the file to be transmitted does not matter. This means that the contents cannot be sent only to the recipient’s and -mail address, but also share directly on Facebook and/or Twitter and generate as a download link. In principle, the service is similar to the already known Wetransfer.

Transferxl also allows the user to manage his files. These can be added or removed as desired and released for other recipients. A great advantage: data transfer can be large and contain many files that adapt to the user. There are no limits of size in transferxl. Another advantage is the high safety in the transmission. Transferxl optionally uses a End-to-end encryption. This means that loaded files can only be opened by those who have the corresponding password.

Transferxl

However, Transferxl is a beta version that is still in the middle of development. However, this service seems to be a good solution for all those who often send very large files.

Uploader Zeta – the free version for quick transmission

For a transfer of data using cloud services such as Dropbox, both the transmitter and the recipient must register for the respective service. To the author of the Zeta service of the online service, files up to 500 Mbyte can be sent without registration and also protected with a password.

The Uploader Zeta is a professional solution available for private users with a free version. The special feature: in addition, the user can use a desktop program with which the files are loaded on the server particularly quickly and easily. The German software company is not secret to the fact that its real commercial concept is the server behind this technology. The user, who wants to urgently «get rid of», hardly wounded. The free variant of ZetaUploader is a good solution for all those who want to transmit larger files and, preferably, trust a hoster from Germany.
