Happiness comes on tiptoe

Many of us dream of a better tomorrow. A better, better paid or more fulfilling job, developing the entrepreneurial project that has been dear to us for years, completely changing sector, refining or strengthening our figure, investing in a romantic relationship, becoming a better person, etc.

Brief. The possibilities are many and personalized as each of us is different.

I’m out of luck…

In the list of things that prevent us from being happy, from achieving our goals, lack of luck seems to be at the top of the podium.

Lack of luck and destiny.

For years, I have admitted that I have been under the yoke of this thought. I didn’t become the person I wanted to be because of __________________ (add appropriate mention).

no luckmy family didn’t have the financial means to support me in my dreams, I didn’t meet the right people at the right time, I was surrounded by toxic people for years, my leaders were never able to detect my “potential”, blablabla…

We all have these kinds of thoughts in the back of our minds, right?

And then, as I grew up, I realized that luck had little to do with it. At most we are born in more or less favorable terrain. Some suffer from living in an environment so dry or toxic that their chances of thriving are very low. However, this suffering is often the impetus for action. You can change the circumstances of your life.

Most of us have better luck than we care to admit. However, our vision is distorted and only focuses on what is wrong. We must then learn to look at our life differently.

You can initially be unsuccessful in life and still be successful in your life. This was my case. I didn’t have a brilliant start to my career, but I had other successes.

I know I am extraordinarily lucky to have a wonderful family. So many people experience failure in this industry! I possess some skills and talents, which I have long doubted, that allow me to earn a living, have valuable friends and good health. All this constitutes incredible capital.

And you, what are the positive things scattered in your life?

Take a few moments to write down on a sheet of paper the elements of your life that you can count on, the ones that keep you going, what is going well and what you wouldn’t change for the world.

I wish that would change…

Happiness arrives on tiptoe 2

We want many things but without changing anything to get them.

There are no dreams too big except the ones we can’t be bothered to achieve.

If you wait for Providence to act on the circumstances of your life, like a magic wand, you will accumulate some remorse.

Many of my friends and acquaintances dream of changing careers, of trying something else. Some for years. I was like that. Projects pile up…but never come to fruition.

Why doesn’t anything change?

If you continue to act as you always have, you will always get the same results. If your behavior stays the same, you won’t change an ounce of your life.

How can we hope for change by repeating the same actions? Change breeds change and action breeds luck.

Do you want to be successful? Pretend luck doesn’t exist.

On the road to change

Happiness arrives on tiptoe 3

You’ll never wake up one morning 10 pounds lighter. You won’t suddenly change jobs overnight without doing the right things first.

The fact is, none of us will wake up tomorrow morning and radically transform our lives in 24 hours. However, if that happens, I will take your prescription.

It’s the small changes that end up producing huge results.

You have to accept this reality. Tomorrow you will not succeed in your reconversion. However, you can start by training and taking your first steps.

Don’t despise small beginnings!

And don’t let that discourage you from the journey ahead.

We can start small and then build our way towards our dream. This is how I’ve worked to transform my life over the past few years… and you can do the same! One step at a time.

It’s work. Everyday. It’s not all perfect, far from it, but I’ve experienced a lot since I decided to change my way of life. My view of myself changed, my relationships with others changed, and slowly, opportunities arrived.

Don’t look for exploits. If you want to eliminate sugar from your diet, for example, don’t eliminate it all at once. You would fall very quickly. Start by stopping sugary coffee, drinking soda, etc. Find out more information, make a plan and stick to it.

Will you return to sport? Do 30 minutes of exercise three times a week. Don’t do hours in one day and then nothing for weeks.

Do you want to change career? Start by making this change possible: training, procedures, networking, blogging and personal branding, internships, etc.

Think marathon rather than sprint. Instead, aim for regularity.

Take small steps today that will become big steps tomorrow.

Different towards tomorrow

Have you ever felt like you deserve more than what you are currently experiencing?

I’m surprised to see that most of the people I meet are underemployed, sometimes without realizing it. We tend to see and believe in the potential of others without realizing what has been sown in our lives.

We therefore support the status quo, hoping that sooner or later a providence will intervene capable of identifying this hidden talent and bringing it to the fore.

I did this for a long time, wasting a lot of time, for various reasons. Now I am convinced that it is necessary to become aware of who we really are, what we are capable of doing and… doing it.

You can hide behind a veneer of humility or uncertainty, but you risk losing a lot. Are you good at something, really good? Maybe you’re not very skilled yet, but desperately need to try new things? So get up and do it, no matter what they say around you!
