Non-repayable financing for women and young people

For those who have a start up in mind but don’t have the funds to create it or for those who want to expand or transform their business and need financing, there is a new opportunity.

“New zero-interest businesses” is the measure designed to incentivize small and medium-sized businesses born from the initiatives of young entrepreneurs under 35 and women of any age.

The concessions are valid throughout Italy and provide financing up to 3 million euros with a cover up to 90% of total expenses to be repaid in 10 years.

In particular:

  • For established companies from 3 to 5 years it is possible to request financing up to 3 million of euros; the benefits cannot exceed the non-repayable amount of the 15%.
    Eligible expenses include:
  1. purchase of the company headquarters property
  2. renovation works
  3. purchase of various machinery and equipment
  4. computer programs
  5. purchase of patents and licenses
  • For established companies for less than 3 years you can request up to 1.5 million of euros with a non-repayable portion up to 20%.
In this case, the expenses must concern:
  1. company restructuring works
  2. purchase of various machinery and equipment
  3. computer programs
  4. patents and licenses
  5. specialist consultancy
  6. charges connected to the stipulation of the subsidized loan contract

There are four sectors that can benefit from this new measure:

  • Trade
  • Manufacturing
  • Business services
  • Tourism

How to apply

The request must be forwarded by registering on the platform Invitalia.

Once logged in to the site, you can complete the application directly online, attaching the business plan and the required documentation.

It is essential to have a digital signature and a certified email address of the legal representative of the company or the contact person.

The applications are examined in chronological order, there is no ranking but an evaluation procedure based on three points:

  • The technical and management skills required by entrepreneurial activity
  • The coherence of the proposed project with the technical-productive and organizational aspects to carry it out
  • The coherence of the project with the potential in the reference market.

At the end of this process, the companies that receive positive feedback will be contacted for an interview with the financing entity.
